The low key couple Mila and Ashton were not willing to spend a fortune on their wedding rings like other celebrity couples. The Bad moms actress appeared on Conan O’Brien and mentioned that she likes that her ring is not showy or flash and is subtle. She then went on to say that she got her wedding rings from Etsy.
Mila then went on to say. “I can’t believe that I’m telling anybody this story. So, my husband and I got married a little while ago. He got me a beautiful engagement ring. Like, stunning, stunning, stunning!, But for our wedding bands—for when we got married—I decided to just get them off of Etsy.”
Conan impressed with her low key attitude and also praised her love of simplicity and frugality. The problem for Mila is that although she loves the engagement ring, and it is beautiful, she does not wear it out everyday.
Although she did laugh that she was essentially being called cheap, she was shocked when she checked wedding band prices at places like Tiffany’s. The actress wanted a thin platinum band and after some searching online saw some on Etsy. She could not believe that it was $90 for hers $100 for Ashtons.
This is the first time we know of celebrities buying wedding rings from places like Etsy, but it is quite likely that it will not be the last. Maybe Mila and Ashton will start a trend of going simple and cheap.
