Country music superstar, Blake Shelton, is an Oklahoma native. So when the tornadoes hit this week, Blake and his country singer wife, Miranda Lambert, sang a touching duet on the hit reality show, The Voice. Blake is a judge on The Voice.
Miranda and Blake sang the emotional song Over You as a dedication to the victims and their families of the devastating tornadoes that touched down there this week. Over You is a song that Blake Shelton wrote as a tribute to his brother that was killed in a car wreck when Blake was younger. While he wrote the song, his wife Miranda is the one who sings the song and has made it a huge hit single.
Blake, along with executives from NBC, the station that showcases The Voice, are working on a relief concert for the victims of the devastating tragedy that stuck only about 100 miles from the home of Blake and Miranda. They are hoping that the latest concert will help raise a lot of money to help the victims and their families rebuild. The concert is scheduled to be televised. No date has been set as of yet for the televised concert.
Blake is also hoping that some of his pals, including fellow coach Usher can help out as well. He plans to call in favors to his musical friends to make this concert a huge success.
